Operating Tips & Best Practices

Temperature Settings by Material:

  • Vegetable-tanned leather: 180-200°C, 3-5 seconds dwell time
  • Chrome-tanned leather: 150-180°C, 2-4 seconds
  • PU/Faux leather: 120-150°C, 2-3 seconds (test first!)
  • Wood (light mark): 200-250°C, 5-8 seconds
  • Wood (dark brand): 280-320°C, 8-12 seconds
  • Paper/cardstock: 100-150°C, 1-2 seconds
  • Fabric (cotton/linen): 160-180°C, 3-5 seconds

Pressure Application:

  • Apply steady, even pressure using both handles
  • Avoid rocking or tilting during stamping
  • For deep embossing, hold pressure for full dwell time
  • Release slowly to prevent foil tearing

Foil Usage:

  • Position foil shiny-side UP (color side up)
  • Use sharp, clean cuts of foil slightly larger than design
  • Remove foil immediately after stamping while still warm
  • Matte side contains the adhesive/pigment layer
